PROGRAM NOTE

¡Bienvenido júbilo! or Jubilant Overture is a fast and energetic opener for symphony orchestra. The piece is like a musical tapestry, combining inspiration, allusions and quasi-quotations of music that comes from different sources, as a way to pay homage to music and composers that I admire and love.

The work was commissioned by Kevin Noe and the Florida Orchestra Association for the All-State Florida Orchestra.
